STOMACHACHE, INDIGESTION, OTITIS MEDIA, TONSILLITIS AND ABDOMINAL
PAIN IN CHILDREN:
Children are not especially subject to abdominal pain, but the primary cause of stomachache in a child is indigestion. But NOTE; a child with infection of middle ear (otitis media) or inflammation of the tonsils (tonsillitis) may complain of stomachache because lymph glands near the intestine become tender and swollen. Pneumonia is also a disorder which may cause abdominal pain in children.
PAIN IN THE ABDOMEN CAN BE A SYMTOM OF DISORDER ELSEWHERE IN THE BODY:
As an example;
Pain from a heart attack pleurisy or pneumonia can be experienced in the upper abdomen.
But these disorders have other characteristic symptoms easily recognized by a physician.
